Technology and Active Learning

Dear Bayview Families,

Knowing that it's a brave new world out there, and that classroom instruction has changed tremendously since we were kids, digital learning is a key concept  that needs to be embraced by all.

Digital learning allows teachers to plan lessons that meet students' individual needs. It also facilitates networking and connecting to people and places locally, and around the world. Digital learning also prepares students for college and career readiness.

Studies have shown that students using technology as an educational tool become more engaged in the learning process, and interested in growing their knowledge base.  In most cases kids don't even realize they are actively learning.

How are your children motivated by technology? What are some tools they have learned in school that they have taught you? Share your views about students and technology by commenting on this post below.

Sincerely,

Ms. Raspanti

Bayview is inspired by Moonshot Thinking,,,,,

Moonshots live in the gray area between audacious technology and pure science fiction. Instead of a mere 10% gain, a moonshot aims for a 10x improvement over what currently exists. The combination of a huge problem, a radical solution to that problem, and the breakthrough technology that just might make that solution possible, is the essence of a moonshot.
